Application Information
ISI Alum do not need to apply. Please complete the ISI Alum ISI 2027 Registration Form.
The process to attend ISI is as follows for new and returning applicants:
- Apply. If accepted, you'll receive a link to a registration form.
- Register. After we receive your completed registration form, we will send you a participant contract, invoice, and customized payment link.
- Pay. You'll then start receiving materials to prepare, and admission to the ISI 2027 private digital space.
What you need to apply:
We've designed the ISI 2027 application to learn more about you, your experience with intersectionality and research methods, and your reasons for applying to ISI 2027. The application has six sections and 18 questions. We estimate that it will take between 15 and 30 minutes to complete.
You'll hear back from us within 5 working days. If for some reason you don't hear back from us in that timeframe, please follow up with an email to: info@intersectionalitytraining.com
Before you begin:
Please note that the application cannot be saved and resumed. Thus, you should be prepared to complete it in one sitting. If you don't think you can complete the application in a single sitting, we recommend drafting your application in Word or program that you can save and then copying and pasting your responses into the application before you submit. Please have the following ready:
1. Links to your online CV, resume, Google Scholar, LinkedIn, ORCID or other public bio;
2. A short statement (~300 words) about your experience (e.g., personal, scholarly, research and/or practice) with intersectionality; and
3. A short statement (~300 words) about why you are applying for ISI 2027.
If you are interested in the Advanced MAIHDA (Multilevel Analysis of Individual Heterogeneity and Discriminatory Accuracy) Applications Session, we'll ask you to answer a question and provide a brief statement about your work with MAIHDA.

We understand that many people's grants have been terminated and that budgets for professional development have been slashed. We stand in solidarity with you. In this era, ITI has consciously and intentionally reduced our prices to ensure that people can still access the training resources that they need to build their intersectionality research capacity and skills and advance health equity. ISI 2027 registration prices are fixed by when you apply.
We know how tough the current economic climate is. We also know that many people’s grants have been terminated and that budgets for professional development have been slashed, if not eliminated. Mindful of this reality, we provide variety of registration and pay-by dates, and payment options.
Your ISI 2027 registration price is set by the date you apply, not the date you pay.
Prices will rise as ISI 2027 gets closer. Thus, applying now is the best way to lock in the lowest registration rate.
Early-Bird Registration
- Apply by November 30, 2026
- Pay by December 31, 2026
Advance Registration
- Apply by March 31, 2027
- Pay by April 30, 2027
Standard Registration
- Apply by July 2, 2027
- Pay by July 7, 2027
Group Registration Prices: When three or more people whose applications have been approved pay together through a single payment link, everyone in the group receives the group rate.
Payment options: If paying all at once isn’t ideal, you can split your registration into two equal payments: 50% before your pay-by date, and 50% by your pay-by date at no extra charge. Note that this two-payment option is available for Early-Bird and Advance Registrations only. This offer is not applicable after April 30, 2027.
A note on payment:
Our pay-by dates allow us to confirm facilitators, materials, meals and venue counts with certainty. If you need to arrange an institutional payment or grant disbursement, please be sure to contact us before your pay-by date. We understand institutional and grant schedules and are happy to work with you.

- Curated recordings before and after ISI 2027 to help you prepare, and to further your learning

Scholar Tier Package
- Early-Bird: $3,450
- Advance: $4,000
- Standard: $5,000

Everything in the Early-Bird Registration-Only Package, plus a full-year membership to the Intersectionality Collective: Scholar Tier (a $1,499 value), including:
- On-demand access to our streaming library of qualitative, quantitative (individual-level and structural), and mixed methods intersectionality research training (a $10,000+ value).
- The complete ISI keynote archive from 2023 onward, featuring luminaries such as Patricia Hill Collins, Patricia Homan, and Dorothy Roberts.
- Monthly small-group office hours with leading intersectionality researchers and experts, including ISI 2027 facilitators such as Professor Clare Evans, who developed MAIHDA.
Scholar Tier Package + 3 Consultation Hours

Everything in the Scholar Tier Registration Package, plus three hours of private consultation with an ISI 2027 facilitator or another intersectionality researcher with expertise relevant to your project.
How you can use your three hours:
- One-on-one consultation about your project (e.g., advice on research questions, design, methods, or next steps)
- A guest presentation or Q&A session for your research team or class;
- Preliminary consultation about planning or works in progress for grant proposals or manuscripts
Please note: Consultation packages are subject to facilitator availability. We recommend that you contact us before registering for this package so we can confirm the right match and scheduling for your goals.
Academic Entrepreneurship Package
- Early-Bird Price: $4,850
- Advance: $5,500
- Standard: $6,500
- Group: $4,850 per person
An academic entrepreneur is “someone with niche expertise and a strong desire to use that expertise to make a difference in the world.” Another more specialized definition describes “faculty at academic institutions that seek to incorporate aspects of commercial engagement into their research work with the ultimate goal of accelerating the actual implementation of their research in order to advance the health of the general population.”
This package includes everything in the Scholar Tier Package, plus:
- A professional headshot mini-session on-site at ISI 2027 (Friday, July 16). You’ll get polished, ready-to-use professional portraits for your faculty or personal websites, LinkedIn or other professional use.
- A pre-event digital brand audit, a personalized review of your professional online presence delivered before ISI 2027.
- A one-on-one brand strategy session with a marketing professional to sharpen your goals, and positioning.
- Two hours of academic entrepreneurship coaching about important logistics to consider (e.g., forming an LLC, IP, personal email addresses, COI agreements, branding), your business goals, and steps to turn your ideas into an actionable business plan.
ISI Discount Programs
We’re committed to making ISI accessible to members of our communities. We ask you to identify your community affiliation on the application. You can mention which one you'd like to apply and we will evaluate during the registration process. Please note that only one discount will be applied.
ISI Alum or Facilitator Referral: $1,000 off Referred to ISI 2027 by an ISI Alum or a Facilitator? If so, you’re eligible to save, $1,000 off the Advanced or Standard registration price.
Intersectionality Collective Scholar Tier Member: $500 off
Current Scholar Tier members of the Intersectionality Collective save $750 on Early-Bird or Advance Registration.
The Philly Discount: $500 off

Cancellation, Transfer, and Payment Options & Policies
Group packages
Group packages require three or more attendees to remain registered. If cancellations drop the group below three, we will remove the group discount and the remaining attendees will be billed the difference.
Cancellations
In the unlikely event that we have to cancel ISI 2027 or significantly reschedule the event, all registrants will receive a full refund or the option to transfer their funds to another ITI product within 12 months.
If you cancel in advance due to a documented emergency, we will attempt to work with you to apply the funds to another ITI product within the next 12 months. If you do not cancel and do not attend or respond to our communications, no adjustments will be entertained.
Transferring Your Registration
With a reasonable amount of advance notice, you may transfer your registration to another individual at no cost. The new attendee must submit a brief application and be accepted before the transfer is finalized.
ITI's policy is that all sales may be transferrable in advance, but are final.
