Trainings for Institutions

For institutions (e.g., universities, government agencies, health departments, nonprofit and for-profit organizations) interested in building or enhancing the capacity of groups of individuals or research teams to integrate and apply intersectionality to their health equity work and research. We currently offer the following trainings:
Our Training Packages
To meet your group or team’s intersectionality training needs, we offer three training packages that vary primarily by:
- Total training time; and
- Mode of training delivery (i.e., virtual (Zoom), in-person, or hybrid (i.e., combination of virtual and in-person):
- (1) Wade: 2-hour;
- (2) Plunge: Half-day (4-hour); and
- (3) Deepest Dive: Full day (6 hour)
- Total training time: 2 hours
- Mode of delivery: Virtual (Zoom)
- Number of courses: One
- Instruction mode: Live facilitator
- Format: Roughly 60 of minutes didactic training, with 30 minutes of Q&A, and/or 30 minutes of interactive activities (e.g., polls, discussion questions)
- Training resources: Advanced reading list, post-training PDF of the presentation and reference list, list of all resources mentioned during training.
Price: Starts at $5,000
- Total training time: 4 hours
- Mode of delivery: Virtual or in-person
- Number of courses: Choose up to 2 courses.
- Instruction mode: Live facilitator
- Format: Blend of didactic, interactive activities and Q&A for each course
- Training resources: Advanced reading list, Post-training PDF of the presentation and reference list, List of all resources mentioned during training, and video of the training for attendees only.
- Optional enhancements to add to the training package:
- Training can be customized to meet your institutions’ specific research/diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) interests
- Individual/group meetings with students, administrators, or other interested groups
Price: Starts at $10,000 and depends on the level of customization requested, mode of delivery (virtual or in-person delivery), number of facilitators, and if in-person, training location.
- Total training time: 6 hours per day
- Mode of delivery: In-person or hybrid (i.e., Virtual and in-person)
- Number of courses: Choose up to 3 courses
- Format: Blend of didactic and interactive activities, and individual and small group learning activities
- Tailored conversations: Dedicated conversation hours with opportunities to ask and get answers to specific project-related questions.
- Consultation session: One 1-hour intersectionality consultation session up to 6-months after the training
- Level of customization: Courses, related activities and training resources can be customized to the meet your institutions’ specific research/DEI interests.
- Training resources: Advanced reading list, post-training PDF of the presentation and reference list, list of all resources mentioned during training, and video of the training for the private use of attendees only.
- Optional enhancements to the training package:

Price: Starts at $20,000 per day and depends on the level of customization requested, training location, number of attendees, number of facilitators, and, if in-person, training location. We offer discounts for multi-day trainings.
